Haemorrhoids, or piles, can be a taboo subject. The truth is, every healthy person has haemorrhoids! But not everybody has symptoms of hemorrhoids.

Every one of us are born with haemorrhoids in the anus. Haemorrhoids are normal parts of the human anatomy, and they serve a purpose. They act like water balloons inside the lower rectum, and help us control bowel movements. They are soft cushions in the anus, which protect our anal sphincter muscle and to assist in keeping our anus closed when increase of abdominal pressure such as sneezing or coughing. They are good for us. So that we can hold the urge to poop.

But sometimes, hemorrhoids can become swollen or inflamed, they become a problem for us when they are inflamed, causing symptoms such as bleeding or pain. We may begin to experience some of the haemorrhoids symptoms from age 25 onwards. It is a very common problem, as a lot of factors in our daily life can contribute to this disease. Aging, is one of the factors we could not stop or reverse.

𝐉𝐎𝐊𝐄: If you are able to accept the fact that your current appearance is different as compared with when you were a baby or teenage, you should be able to accept that your anus will have some differences too, due to aging

Don’t keep it to yourself, share it with your doctor if you have symptoms and need help. Everyone has haemorrhoids (piles).
