Varicose veins, if left untreated, may cause more serious complications like bleeding, deep vein thrombosis and phlebitis.

A lot of times, Phlebitis are mistaken as infection of the skin call cellulitis whereby antibiotics are taken, yet the problem is never solved.

If the blood clot is broken off into smaller portion and travels to the brain, heart or lung, it can be a fatal complication.

Lastly, varicose veins can ๐›๐ฅ๐ž๐ž๐. Majority of varicose veins patients present with bleeding as an emergency. Varicose veins which developed near the surface of the skin can bleed easily if you scratch, cut or bump your leg. The bleeding may be difficult to stop.

Bleeding, deep vein thrombosis and phlebitis are the progression of the varicose veins disease if it is left untreated. It is best to have varicose vein treated at the early stage in order to prevent all these serious complications from happening.
